CLEAN Mud

The sensory experience of mud without the mess? Yes! And your kids finish up smelling sweet and fresh and looking clean! What more could a parent ask for? Check out this recipe from Growing a Jeweled Rose.

Clean Mud Recipe

  • 3 cups of baking soda
  • Up to 1 cup of water

Method

To make this clean mud all you need is baking soda and water. In a bowl slowly add water to the baking soda until you have a mud-like texture. Be sure to add the water slowly, as it is easy to add too much. The key is to add a little at a time and mix, slowing adding more water until you have the desired mud-texture. If you do add too much water just add more baking soda and mix it well.

The outcome is fabulous for all sorts of sensory play and allows kids all the fun of mud with none of the mess!

The mud is squishy, yet mold-able and super soft. Did we mention, It also leaves kids looking & smelling fresh and clean after play?
