The only thing more fun than blowing bubbles is blowing bubbles that glow in the dark! This glowing bubble recipe is super simple, and you only need a few ingredients.
Materials (per bubble color)
Note: For the best effect you will want to use a blacklight for this activity. (Check out some blacklight flashlights for instant fun indoors or out. You can also use a blacklight fixture if playing with your bubbles inside).
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well, using one bowl for each color of bubbles that you wish to make.
That's it! So easy, right?
There are so many fun ways to play with this simple bubble recipe, too! Give kids straws so that they can blow mountains of glowing bubbles or make bubble prints.
A few other fun ways to play with your bubbles:
- Give kids brushes and use the bubbles to paint. This recipe makes a great paint for kids!
- Make homemade bubble wands and try blowing glow-in-the-dark bubbles outside
- Pour some of your glowing bubbles into a bin or container, add toy cars, and kids will be all set to play with a glow-in-the-dark car wash
Note: When using straws for this activity be sure to go over having the kids blow out and NOT suck in.
