Looking for a way to interject a little anatomy lesson into backyard fun? Try a Halloween-themed skeleton scavenger hunt!
Have kids roam the yard or the house on the hunt for skeleton parts (plastic ones purchased from a toy store or craft shop). Discovering the bones is not enough: they must assemble them the best they can. If you are working with a large group of kids, have enough complete skeletons for each group. Kids will be trading bones with other groups (hopefully identifying them by the correct name). The group who assembles the most anatomically correct skeleton the quickest wins! You can also give prizes to those players who can name the most bones.
